BILL RITTER, Host: Well, as that graphic indicates, "The Jerry Springer
Show" is red-hot in the ratings. But it is also taking a lot of heat
these days. This week, the controversy over the show escalated following
charges that it stages fights, coaches guests, and fakes stories.
Before the week was over, Chicago television station WMAQ had dropped
Springer from its lineup. ABC's Jim Williams looks at this latest
outcry over the popular talk show.
