BARR VOTES FOR BULLETPROOF VEST GRANTS "ALL OFFICERS DESERVE PROTECTION"
WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Representative Bob Barr (GA-7) today voted
for the
"Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act." The measure. which passed
the
House, will help ensure that all law enforcement officers in America
have
access to life-saving bulletproof vests.
"Currently, more than 150,000 officers do not have access to bulletproof
vests. This amounts to one out of even- four police officers in our
country.
