Mr. Fandrahim (ph), ladies and gentlemen.

It is a pleasure to address this distinguished audience. The National Press Club is a widely respected institution. I have looked forward to this occasion because a free press is the flagbearer of democracy. It was none other than a U.S. president, Thomas Jefferson, who said: "Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost."
