KEVIN NEWMAN: Well, Patrick Stewart has a flair for playing strong-
willed leaders. As Ahab in last spring's "Moby Dick," the classically
trained actor drew rave reviews for his mad captain bent on revenge.
In the new movie "Star Trek: Insurrection" he resumes his more familiar
and levelheaded alter ego, that of captain Jean-Luc Picard. This
time he may be the sole voice of reason as the Federation plots to
