Senator Hutchinson, Wang Dan To Deliver Petition Today Calling On
Chinese
Government To Release Jailed Pro-Democracy Activists
Senator Tim Hutchinson, Wang Dan, and a group of Chinese dissidents
who
were also involved in the 1989 Tiananmen student movement will hold
a press
conference across the street from the Chinese Embassy at 1:00 p.m.
today,
Monday, to call on the Chinese government to release imprisoned pro-
democracy
activists. The Embassy is located at 2300 Connecticut Avenue, N.W.
and
Kalorama.
Senator Hutchinson and Wang Dan will present the embassy with a petition
calling for the dissidents' release. The ...
