Whistleblower
Protection Act
Mr. Chairman and members of the committee, thank you for the invitation
to comment on the proposed Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection
Act of 1998 (H.R. 3829). The bill is designed to promote and protect
reporting
to Congress by employees who have urgent concerns about suspected
serious
or flagrant problems in the intelligence community (IC). CRS takes
no position
on the merits of this or other similar proposals.
