Mr. Chairman, I am honored to have been asked by the Committee to
provide,
in brief, information on trade and tariff implications for the United
States
in the event that Puerto Rico in a referendum chooses to become an
independent
country.
As an independent country, Puerto Rico would, in the context of trade
as
