Selecting and preparing a product for export requires not only product
knowledge but also knowledge of the unique characteristics of each
market
being targeted. The market research conducted (as outlined in Chapter
3)
and the contacts made with foreign representatives (as outlined in
Chapter
4) should give the U.S. company an idea of what products can be sold
where.
Before the sale can occur, however, the company may need to modify
