STATELINE, Nev., July 18, 1998--The Clinton Administration is
following through on its promises to help improve the economy and
environment
of the Lake Tahoe community. That is the message delivered to Senator
Harry Reid's workshop marking the first anniversary of President Clinton'
s
Lake Tahoe Forum.
"It's now been a year and we continue to make progress on our
commitments and in our partnerships with the Lake Tahoe community,
" said
James R. Lyons, USDA Under Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment.
"We must all strive continuously to improve the economy and the environment
of the precious Tahoe Basin."
