I'm Ira Flatow. And we're here at the Jewett Center for the Performing Arts at Westminster College in Salt Lake City today, thanks to radio station KCPW.

And this hour, we're gonna talk about one of the most significant features of northern Utah, and of course I'm talking about the Great Salt Lake and it's a pretty big lake. And if you think -- it is isn' t it...

LAUGHTER ... well if you think the lake is big now, you know, at 1, 700 square miles, you should have seen it, some of you, 20,000 years ago.

You weren't around to look at it then.

And the Great Salt Lake then was much bigger ...
