BOB EDWARDS, HOST: This year's major league baseball season likely
will be remembered for two unusual events: four players making runs
at the single-season home run record and the New York Yankees' attempt
to set the major league record for most wins in a season -- the regular
season that is. Commentator Frank Deford says with more emphasis
being placed on the postseason, the playoffs and the World Series,
the regular season is too soon forgotten.
