WASHINGTON - The U.S. Postal Service announced today that PC Stamp,
developed by Neopost of Hayward, Calif., is the third personal
computer-generated
stamp product to be approved for beta market test.
"Computer access to postage provides 24-hour, 7-day convenience
for
our
customers," said Postmaster General William J. Henderson. "We
believe
that
products being developed for PC Postage certification will benefit
small businesses,
home offices and consumers. In fact, customer need for this technology
is very
broad," he added.
The Neopost product under beta test, PC Stamp, will print postage
on
envelopes
