The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) is helping Besser Company, a small business manufacturer in Alpena, Mich., to sell over $650,000 of concrete masonry production equipment in its first sale of a complete new facility to the emerging African market of Ghana.

An Ex-Im Bank-guaranteed, medium-term loan of $598,000 from HSBC Markets, Inc., of New York, N.Y., is enabling Besser to sell its BescopacTM concrete masonry production machinery and related equipment to Regimanuel Gray Limited, a private builder in Ghana's capital city of Accra, for production of concrete masonry units to be used in construction of housing and other buildings.
