MACK: OFFER CANCER PATIENTS HOPE WITH CLINICAL TRIALS COVERAGE

Washington-U.S. Senator Connie Mack (R-FL) introduced an amendment today to provide cancer patients with health insurance coverage of routine costs when they participate in approved cancer clinical trials. Senator Mack said cancer patients who have exhausted all traditional therapies and are fighting for their lives, should not be forced to make a medical decision based on cost but rather on the potential benefit of promising new treatments offered in an approved clinical trial.
