KAUFFMAN: NATO forces are getting set for a third-consecutive day
of air attacks against Yugoslavia this morning. Last night, the allied
air campaign aimed much of its firepower at Serb targets in Kosovo.
But despite the assault, Serb forces appear to be intensifying the
ground war with ethnic Albanian rebels.
In a taped message sent to the people of Yugoslavian today, President
Clinton blamed the bombing campaign on Yugoslav leader Slobodan Milosevic.
The USS Theodore Roosevelt battle group leaves Virginia this morning
for a six-month tour of the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf ...
