JOHN ROBERTS, CBS NEWS ANCHOR: Storming ashore: Hurricane Bret slams into the Texas gulf coast with powerful winds and driving rain. Ready or not, Texas residents brace themselves for a powerful blow. Sensing trouble: experts try to figure out how this storm grew so big so fast. And a few last miracles aside, rescue crews in Turkey are ending the search for survivors.
