MARINE CORPS AIR STATION NEW RIVER, N.C. (Aug. 13) -- The Army and Marine Corps, con-ducted two weeks of civil affairs certification training aboard the Air Station from July 24 to Aug.13.

In the past, civil affairs training only took place on Army installations. For the first time, an Army-run civil affairs training and certification course for Soldiers and Marines, has taken place on a Marine Corps installation. The Air Station now plays a role in the integration of training between the services that is becoming more popular.

"Each service has needs and resources and when we come together we are more efficient," said Army Maj.
