When Oded Lifschitz was 14, he knew that he could play with his friends during the summer days, but at 12:45 he had to change out of his shorts and sandals into long pants and shoes and help serve lunch in the family hotel in Jerusalem's Beit Hakerem quarter.

Today, Lifschitz, 52, is the Hilton Hotel chain's area manager for Israel.
