At 75, Elma Lewis sees next generation taking up reins.
This past weekend's Diamond Jubilee for Elma Lewis may as well have been celebrating her acuity as her age. Frail at 75, her mind is as diamond bright as ever, and so too her sense of humor, as she herself demonstrated at the climax of an appreciation program Saturday night.
She's been going a long time, for 46 years, now, since founding her first school at age 27 after graduating from Emerson College and Boston University.
