The President today announced his intent to nominate Jose Antonio
"Tony" Perez to serve as United States Marshal for the Central District
of California.
Mr. Perez, of Walnut, California, has served as Acting United
States Marshal for the Central District of California since December,
1999.
From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Perez served as Chief Deputy United States
Marshal
for the Central District of California. In addition, he served as
Chief
of the Enforcement Operations Division of the United States Marshals
Service
