The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will honor some of the nation's most innovative manufacturers, retailers and other businesses tonight as recipients of the Energy Star 2000 Awards. The awards acknowledge outstanding public education and promotional efforts that have increased consumer awareness of the benefits of purchasing energy-saving devices and products under the Energy Star label.
