Microsoft Files Supreme Court Appeal
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Microsoft Corp.'s fight to avoid a court-ordered breakup entered a new round Wednesday as the computer software giant filed a Supreme Court appeal -- asking the justices to send the case to a federal appeals court.
The appeal urged the justices to avoid ``the onerous task of sifting through a large and complex record and forgoing the many benefits of intermediate appellate review.''
