Pirates 10, Padres 2
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Brian Giles went 5-for-5 with two run-scoring doubles and Francisco Cordova came off the disabled list to pitch five effective innings in the Pittsburgh Pirates' 10-2 romp over the San Diego Padres on Saturday night.
Emil Brown and Warren Morris, who had three homers between them coming in, each homered in the Pirates' second rout of the Padres in as many nights. The Pirates had four multiple-run homers in winning 16-5 Friday.
With 16 hits Saturday, the Pirates have 30 hits in the two games.
