NSW: Software problems hit baggage system: union

SYDNEY, Aug 10 AAP - Sydney International Airport's $32 million baggage handling system
had broken down three times in the past week and was unlikely to be fixed in time for
the Olympics, a baggage handler said tonight.

But Sydney Airports Corporation (SACs) has said the glitches were minor and stressed
the baggage system would cope with the extra demands during the Olympics.

Transport Workers Union (TWU) delegate and baggage handler Sammy Stillitano said the
baggage system was down for three hours on Saturday, an hour on Sunday and an hour today.
