SAN DIEGO -- "Girlfight" is among more than 60 features, documentaries and shorts to be shown at the first San Diego Asian Film Festival, which runs Friday through Sunday at the University of San Diego.
The gritty boxing saga won the dramatic directing award for Karyn Kusama at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Also scheduled are the short films "So Close to Paradise," directed by China's Wang Xiaoshuai, and "Shangri-la Cafe," directed by Lily Mariye, who plays nurse Lily Jarvik on NBC's "ER."
