CHICAGO (AP) -- Cleveland manager Charlie Manuel, for one, knows winning the AL Central five straight times is not as easy as it looks.

And now, with the improved Chicago White Sox threatening to give the Indians a run in the division they've dominated, it could be tougher than ever.

``People always make it out that we've cruised and winning the Central came easy to us,'' Manuel said. ``We still have to go out and play. I've tried to imbed that into our guys.''

The Indians got the message Sunday, beating the White Sox 12-3 to avert a three-game sweep.
