Fifty years ago, the Nazis' Third Reich came to an end in the death chamber at Landsberg Prison in occupied Germany. That is when a young floor sander from Revere, Mass., executed Hitler's cabinet members in two hours on two scaffolds. The executions were held in private. Even photographs taken of the executed men, who were secretly cremated that night, have never been released.
