Haredim are now on the `winning side': They're beginning to overlap with. right wing (national Orthodox), an idea once considered anathema.

Alarge sociological and political shift is taking place in Israel's religious world. The haredim (rigorously Orthodox), who used to be wholly separate and, in fact, hostile to the right wing, or national, Orthodox, are now beginning to overlap with them. The election of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which the haredim played such a huge role in achieving, sealed their entry into Israel's "National Camp."
