A New Move to Bring Mujibur Killers to Trial.

The Awami League government is working toward repealing the 1975 indemnity ordinance that barred the trial of the killers of the country's founder, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Official sources said last week that the State Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Matin Khasru, had submitted a draft bill to the Cabinet, with an opinion from the Law Commission. The bill is likely to come up at the next session of Parliament, scheduled to start Nov. 1.
