Defying Congress, Deve Gowda Assails Critics.
Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda has hit out at critics of his government and denounced threats of withdrawal of support by the Congress Party, saying that by raising the bogy of a pullout time and again they will only be scaring away foreign investors.
"The Congress friends must realize that the question of the stability of the government will always be uppermost in the mind of the foreign investor," Gowda told The Hindu newspaper in an interview published last week.
