Navajo Code Talkers documentary wins Emmy.
National Geographic Television's first Cultural Diversity Project filmmaker, Lena Carr, won an Emmy for Outstanding Historical Programming for "War Code: Navajo," a film she co-produced with staff producer Amy Wray. NGT's Cultural Diversity Project is an outreach program to attract minority filmmakers to submit story proposals and develop programs for National Geographic Explorer.
