Cuban President Fidel Castro wants to come to the United States.
The Cuban Foreign Ministry says it has requested visas for Castro
and other top officials to travel to New York next week to attend
the United Nations Millennium Summit. It will be Castro's first visit
to the United States since 1995, when he attended the UN's 50th anniversary
celebration. NPR's Tom Gjelten reports.
