(Oklahoma Daily) (U-WIRE) NORMAN, Okla. -- Studies have shown women are getting married later in life, and a lot of them aren't getting married at all. Trina Hope, assistant sociology professor at the University of Oklahoma, said more women have professions now and are independent. They don't have to get married if they haven't found a guy that makes them happy, she said.

Fabienne Boisson, treasurer for the Society for Women's Studies Students said she thinks it's better to wait to get married.

"Women (who want to marry) should have high expectations just to be sure that's who they want to be with," said Boisson, zoology senior.
