Danny Kaye leaves a legacy of laughter: Documentary chronicles the. wonderful life of comic superstar Danny Kaye.
He began as a Brooklyn-Belt comedian from Brooklyn, and ended up a mainstay on Broadway and in Hollywood. He is Danny Kaye, born David Daniel Kaminsky in 1913 to a Russian-Jewish immigrant tailor.
One of the great pioneers in physical comedy, Kaye's energetic style blended song, dance, improvisation, and an incredible mastery over complicated verse.
A new documentary about the entertainer, "Danny Kaye: A Legacy of Laughter," will be shown on PBS TV Dec, 7-13. The program is part of the American Masters award-winning biography ...
