WHITE RAPPER: Singer Says She Had Legitimate Deal at Death Row.
The daughter of a county prosecutor defended her singing contract at Death Row records, saying it was talent, not her father, that landed her the deal.
Gina Longo, 18, said she is unfairly being linked to a controversy between Death Row owner Marion "Suge" Knight and her father, Deputy District Attorney Lawrence W. Longo, who was supervising Knight's probation.
"This was no sweetheart deal," she said.
Knight remains in jail pending a hearing on possible probation violations. Her father was pulled from the case and the District Attorney's office is investigating a possible conflict of interest.
