KLEAVER'S KLIPPINS: Some Odd Things at Compton Poker Parlor.
The new poker parlor in Crystal Park in Compton is open. The people who operate it have spent beaucoup dollars promoting it. It sits in the space where a Ramada Inn once sat and served the people of the Compton-Carson area with a first class hotel.
When the possibility of a casino first came up, there was an air of optimism in the city. Those people who sat in the positions of power could see new jobs, tax dollars and a new security for the scandal-ridden city.
