Trudy Pitts' seminal work at AME.
Over the years, the Philadelphia Clef Club for Jazz & Performing Arts has become renowned for its "sacred concerts" which combine the best elements of Jazz and sacred music. Usually, such concerts consist of a small ensemble of jazz musicians with a guest soloist like Bobby Watson or Steve Turre performing with a church choir. This upcoming concert promises to be different. As a matter of fact, it promises to be a musical event of historic proportions.
