This is TALK OF THE NATION. I'm Juan Williams.
In the Olympic track and field competition at Sydney's Olympic Stadium,
all eyes and TV cameras have been on US sprinter Marion Jones. On
Saturday, a joyful Jones won her first gold medal in the 100-meter
finals. With one gold medal down, she's on her way to making good
on her amazing pledge to win four more and make Olympic history as
the first woman to win five gold medals in track and field in a single
year.
The intensity of the gleaming spotlight on Jones does have its downside,
