The President today announced his intent to nominate Steven Clayton
Stafford to serve as United States Marshal for the Southern District
of
California.
Mr. Steven Clayton Stafford, of San Diego, California, has served
in
various positions with the United States Marshals Service since 1981.
Currently,
Mr. Stafford is the Acting United States Marshal in the Southern District
of California. In 1997, he served as the Assistant Chief Deputy United
States Marshal for the district as well where he was responsible for
overseeing
all operational and administrative divisions of the district. In 1999,
