Fed: Global effort to raise allergy awareness launched today
SYDNEY, Oct 15 AAP - A global effort to raise awareness of allergies, which affect
50 per cent of the world's population, was launched in Sydney today.
October 16 was designated World Allergy Awareness Day by the World Allergy Organisation-International
Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (WAO-IAACI) and the World Health Organisation
(WHO).
The announcement was made at an international allergy conference in Sydney.
In its inaugural year, World Allergy Awareness Day will focus on allergic rhinitis,
