(The Battalion) (U-WIRE) COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- About 1,450 Libertarian candidates will be running for various offices across the nation in the Nov. 7 elections, including 250 candidates for Congress. That is more than twice the number of candidates from all of the other third parties combined.
Even with the increasing number of candidates, Dr. Jim Lark, chairman of the national Libertarian Party, said the Libertarian Party is ignored, shown by the exclusion of Harry Browne, the party's presidential candidate, from the presidential debates.
