BLANTYRE, Jul. 18 (AIA/GIN) -- The Malawi government is once
again looking for a buyer for the privatized textile company David
Whitehead, a year after asking for bids.
The Privatization Commission advertised the company throughout
the first half of last year, locally and internationally. So far
there have been only three bids, from Singapore, India, and South
Africa.
Mahesh and Company of Singapore bid for 70 percent of the
company, Weizman Limited of Bombay bid only for management, and
Deloitte and Touche of South Africa intended to be named ...
