Exhibit on the Old Negro Baseball Leagues..
The unlikely collaboration of a mathematics professor and a film maker at The University of Memphis is behind a new Pink Palace Museum exhibit on the old Negro Baseball Leagues.
"Black Diamonds - The Story of Negro League Baseball," will open Saturday, Feb. 1, featuring hundreds of items such as the cap worn by Jackie Robinson during his rookie year with the Brooklyn Dodgers, game programs, bats, gloves and player contracts.
The exhibit, which will run through April 27, was inspired by the documentary Black Diamond Is, Blues City; Stories of the Memphis Red Sox, which premiered last year. The film was produced by ...
