MEXICO CITY, Apr. 6 (IPS) -- Trade unions need to attract more
youth and women, and to develop a sophisticated understanding of
how to mobilize using the Internet, if they are to be effective,
unionists agree.
As the world's trade unionists wind up a weeklong conference
of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU)
in South Africa, attention is being drawn to the role of labor
unions in a globalizing world and how unions can enhance their
relevance.
