Analysis: Spinal cord injury patients experience new hope with stem cell research

At the Society for Neuroscience meeting this week in New Orleans, researchers report that functional nerve cells can be grown using human adult stem cells. The hope is these healthy, new nerve cells can be transplanted into people with spinal cord injuries to help repair damage and restore movement. NPR's Michelle Trudeau reports.
