Jerusalem -- This is a tale of two roads.

Route 60 winds through the center of Israel, from Beersheva on the edge of the Negev north to Jerusalem and on to Nazareth, up and down the mountains of Judea and Samaria, past gnarled olive trees and rocky fields and Bedouin camps and Jewish settlements. To the tradition minded, it is known as "Derech Avos," the road of the fathers, a paved reminder of the ancient path where biblical patriarchs and matriarchs walked.
