Article: U. Texas regents name Burck sole finalist for chancellor

(Daily Texan) (U-WIRE) TYLER, Texas -- The University of Texas System Board of Regents at its Wednesday meeting chose Dan Burck to be the only finalist for UT System chancellor.

Burck, former UT System vice chancellor for business affairs, served as the interim chancellor beginning in June, shortly after Chancellor William H. Cunningham retired.

"This is the greatest honor I've ever received and I am elated," Burck said. "I hope to introduce initiatives that will bring UT System institutions to a higher level."
