CRIK: United Cricket Board to pay players legal fees

BLOEMFONTEIN, South Africa, Nov 18 Reuters - The United Cricket Board (UCB) today said
it would pay the legal fees of some of the players involved in the King Commission investigation
into cricket corruption.

"The players' legal fees amount to about 600,000 rand ($A151,370), and the executive
has decided to pay that in total," UCB managing director Ali Bacher told Reuters.

"Why ask people like Lance Klusener, Mark Boucher and Jacques Kallis, who were blameless
in this whole affair, to pay lawyers' fees?"

Bacher said the UCB would not foot the bill in the cases of Henry Williams and Herschelle
