QLD: World Heritage Committee told Jabiluka poses minimal risk

CAIRNS, QLD, Nov 26 AAP - The World Heritage Committee will this week consider a report
by its own scientific panel that found the Jabiluka uranium mine should pose minimal risk
to Kakadu National Park's world heritage values.
Also on the World Heritage Committee's agenda for this week's meeting at Cairns is
a nomination for world heritage listing for the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.
The committee's seven-member executive, the World Heritage Bureau, passed on the independent
scientific panel's report on Jabiluka on Friday.
