(Columbia Daily Spectator) (U-WIRE) NEW YORK -- Perhaps the only sound that is more annoying to wake up to than your roommate's snoring is the screech of your residence hall's fire alarm. This semester the seemingly high number of false fire alarms has become a common topic of conversation among disgruntled residents.
"The alarms are so frequent now, I don't bother to get out of bed. I just roll over and go back to sleep," said Julia Topik, CC '03.
